After-School Program

Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach provides a safe, welcoming, second home after school for the youth of Long Beach. We make sure we provide a positive environment where kids and teens can have fun, participate in life-changing programs and build supportive relationships with peers and caring adults. Our proven impact supports all aspects of positive youth development: Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles.


Dates:  September through June


Times: 

 

  • Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • On Thursdays, Clubs are open from 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm

 


Cost: $15 annual membership due upon enrollment


Transportation: transportation from school sites to Clubhouses is provided: www.bgclublb.org/transportation

Our Clubs are also open on some school minimum days, some holidays, and during Winter/Spring Breaks.


Please call your preferred Club or visit their front desk for questions regarding schedules.


Locations: All legacy and school club sites. Child must be enrolled in the school to attend the Club at that school.


Club members receive homework support during the program along with activities and crafts. We work to ensure our programs are not just a formal extension of the school day. We offer opportunities for fun and learning into all activities we provide.
