Volunteering & Internships

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. Each year, we serve thousands of youth and rely heavily on volunteers to assist us in the delivery of our programs and to support the growth and development of our members.

Tutoring Opportunities
Youth benefit from having one-on-one attention from a caring, trained adult in a variety of academic subjects. Those at risk of failing a grade are offered intensive tutoring services. Length of time commitment varies but is needed during the hours of 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday.

Mentoring Opportunities
Serve as a positive role-model for at-risk youth. Time commitment is one hour per week at a Club site for 13 weeks. Club hours are generally 2:00 – 6:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Some Saturday opportunities are available.

Educator Opportunities
Do you have a hobby or skill you would like to share with an enthusiastic group of youth? Interest classes are offered Monday – Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

Coaching Opportunities
Coach a youth athletic team. We offer basketball, flag football, and soccer with mixed gender teams. Practices are held during the week with games held on evenings and on Saturdays.

Group Projects
Opportunities to repair or create spaces within a Club. Projects can be for one day or over an extended time period. There are painting, decorating, technology, and tournament projects.

Special Events
We host two dinners, a golf tournament, a luncheon, and assorted community events. Service organizations and corporations also host events on our behalf. Days and hours for volunteer service vary and are primarily in the evenings and on weekends.

In addition, there are volunteer activities at the Administration offices in a variety of departments.

Please Note: All volunteers/Interns working directly with children must undergo a criminal background check.
