Meet our 2011-2012 Youth of the Year,

Cheeravath is a senior at Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo High School where he has an exemplary academic standing and challenges himself by taking Advance Placement and Honors courses. Cheeravath is a member of the Clubs’ College Access Program (CAP) and has recently submitted applications to the top competitive California State Universities. He has also expressed interest in applying to Darmouth and Standford. 

Cheeravath also shows admirable community activism through his involvement, not just with the Clubs, but with various other organizations as well. He embodies what an ideal Boys & Girls Club member should be and we are honored to have him represent Long Beach.

Cheeravath will now go on to compete for the Los Angeles County Youth of the Year title in March of 2011.
